Industrial Structure of the British Columbia Traveler Accommodation Sector: An Application of the Industrial Organization Model to Service Industries
The paper describes the industrial structure of the British Columbia traveler accommodation industries (e.g. hotels, motels, auto courts, etc.) and in so doing applies concepts such as relevant market, industry size, concentration, and optimal scale, which are commonly applied to manufacturing industries but which are not so nearly refined with respect to service industries.
