A Decision Design For Tourism CEOsA process is describedfor ranking a wide range ofbudget items in tourism planning and development activities when the anticipated combined social, economic, managerial, environmental, and political benefits of those items cannot be adequately described in economic terms and budgetary constraints do notpermitfunding all items under consid eration. The process accounts for subjective judgment and contains a formal rigorous decision strategy that takes the place of intuition when qualitative and quantitative tourism values need to be evaluated.
