State Tourism Ofifices And Their Impact On Tourist Expenditures

John D. Hunt

As the awareness of tourism as an economic development opportunity has increased, interest has also increased in understanding the relationship of state tourism spending to tourism receipts within states. This article suggests that a relationship does appear to exist between growth in state tourism budgets and changes in market share among groups of states.
