Public-Access Interactive Computers at State Welcome Centers in the United States: 1991 and 1995 Studies

Recreation, Parks, and Leisure Services Administration Department at Central Michigan University

This article reports on the findings of a 1991 and 1995 survey of the use of interactive computer systems in state welcome centers. Results indicate that whereas state use is increasing, ratings of system performance are decreasing. Areas addressed include amount of use, system information, funding, capabilities, uses, and satisfaction with computer performance.
